Victoria Beckham has been eating the same dinner every day for the past 25 years, according to her husband.
David Beckham spilled the beans on the River Cafe Table 4 podcast with Ruth Rogers, admitting that he prefers having the house to himself so he can eat whatever he wants.
Beckham, the fashion designer and former Spice Girl, exclusively eats grilled fish and steamed veggies, according to him.
“She’s only eaten grilled fish and steamed vegetables since I met her,” the 46-year-old former footballer told the show.
Beckham continued his cooking confessions by revealing that he is a real foodie who gets “emotional” over food and wine.
He said one of his favorite evenings with his nearly 23-year-old wife was when she deviated from her usual diet, which he characterized as “wonderful.”
“I think the only time she’s ever communicated something that’s been on my mind is when she was pregnant with Harper, and it was the most incredible thing,” he remarked. “It was one of my favorite nights of the year. I’m not sure what it was, but I know she hasn’t had it since.”
Victoria Beckham has previously spoken about her tight diet, admitting she is a “very finicky eater.” While her tenure in the renowned British girl trio made her a household name, it turns out Posh Spice doesn’t have much of a taste for seasoning.
The mother-of-four sparked outrage when she said her favorite comfort meal was “toast with salt on it” on a previous episode of the River Cafe Table 4 podcast.
“In the food department, this is where I sound even more boring. So, what am I fond of? I enjoy whole grain bread with a pinch of salt” she confessed.
The actress also stated that she prefers her meals to be prepared without the use of oils, butter, or sauces, a desire that her sports star spouse does not share.
David Beckham has admitted that having the family home to himself allows him to cook to his heart’s delight – with a side of football thrown in for good measure.
He longingly reminisced, “I literally had two most amazing chunks of steak, one was a T-bone and I had some English Wagyu.”
“I poured one glass of the most delicious red wine that I treated myself to because I was alone and looked forward to watching football in the afternoon – alone.”
Posh and Becks’ high-profile courtship started in early 1997, and they married in July 1999. Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper are the couple’s four children.
