108-Year-Old Man Met His Namesake Grandson “You Don’t Know What This Means to Me”

A guy called Esmond Allcock met his great-great-grandson when he was 108 years old. This was a life-changing experience for him, and he was pleased to learn that the kid was named after him.

Esmond Allcock was on his way to become Canada’s oldest resident in 2018. Born in 1910, he lived a long and rich life as a spouse, father, grandpa, and great-grandfather. Esmond Allcock valued his family and made an effort to maintain contact with everyone.

Jenna Lehne gave her kid the name Esmond after her great-grandfather. For 30 years, he was a continuous presence in her life. While only a few children are fortunate enough to encounter their older relatives, Esmond was one of them.

When Lehne told her great-grandfather she wanted to go “Walk Walk,” he assisted her with crawling. He told his friends and family about her pregnancy when he found out she was expecting her first child. This man was ecstatic and proud.

He said something surprising when she told him she was expecting another son. None of his 71 offspring, he informed his wife, were named after him. Lehne and her husband decided right away that their second kid would be named after him.

As soon as she was able, Lehne escorted the baby to see her great-grandfather. The meeting did not go as planned. “When we arrived, he had no idea who we were. She lamented, “He knew who my grandparents were, but he wasn’t so sure about me.”

Despite this, he couldn’t keep his gaze away from newborn Esmond and relished the opportunity to hold the little one in his arms. He instantly remembered Lehne, the little girl he used to “Walk Walk” with, in the middle of their vst. It was a unique opportunity for her.

The link between Esmond Senor and Esmond Junior added to the remembrance of the family visit. The two were inseparable, and when the great-grandfather interacted with the newest addition to his family, he was emotional.

“You have no idea what this means to me,” Esmond said. It was also significant to Lehne, who considered herself fortunate to still have him in her life. He inquired about the infant on a frequent basis, she said, and wanted updates.

“As soon as the snow melts, we’ll be on our way to visit him once more.” It’ll be great-great-grandpa Esmond, little Ez, and the ‘Walk Walk’ girl,” said Lehne.
