Poor Lady Turns Pale When She Meets Blind Homeless Boy Who Is a Carbon Copy of Her Son — Story of the Day

Mary was driving home when she came across a blind boy asking for money. The young mother approached him out of pity and offered him money, but a closer look at his face stopped Mary in place. He reminded me a lot of Timothy!

Mary was born in the tumultuous 1990s, only a few years before the explosion in Oklahoma City. During the bombing, right-wing extremists burned a government building in the heartland, killing hundreds of men and women, including Mary’s parents.

The poor girl was just five years old at the time of all of this. Her grandparents adopted her and nurtured her, but when she reached the age of 15, they passed away, leaving her alone.

Mary acquired an aversion to the city after losing her family in Oklahoma and moved to Edmond. Life wasn’t much better for her there, but leaving the old town gave her the motivation to start again. And, thankfully, things improved for her.

Mary met Jack only a few days after coming to Edmond. He was a street musician, and one day while heading to a coffee shop where she worked part-time as a server, she heard him performing a beautiful song.

At first sight, the man enchanted her with his wonderful voice, and she couldn’t help but grin. Her dark eyes and charming grin drew Jack in as well.

He said casually as he was packing up after a performance, “So, did you like my song today?”

“It was fun!” says the narrator. Mary ecstatically shouted. “Did you compose it completely on your own?”

“Of course!” says the speaker. With a smirk on his face, Jack stated. “Each song means the same to me, and I put my heart and soul into them all.” Mary threw an appreciative gaze at him as he spoke, and undeterred by the unexpected attention, he said, “The next song will be dedicated to you. That’s a guarantee!” Mary flushed at his naïve reaction and fell head over heels in love with him once more.

These nice meetups grew into dates as time went on, and they finally moved in together. While Mary continued to work at the coffee shop, Jack continued to create and perform songs on the streets. They both believed that the man’s skill would one day propel him to greater heights and turn him into a true artist. However, despite the passage of time, the expected celebrity did not materialize. Mary, on the other hand, became pregnant.

Despite their financial hardships, Jack consented to be their child’s guardian. However, as time went on, he became increasingly frustrated with everything and frequently screamed at Mary.

He admonished her one evening, “How long has it been since you’ve been to the doctor, Mary?”

“But honey,” Mary said, “I’m OK.” “Anyway, I just had a checkup, so there’s no reason for me to have another.”

“And why haven’t you told me about the incident during the checkup?”

“Because you were so preoccupied with your job, I didn’t want to interrupt you. Everything is in working order. Don’t be concerned, “She embraced him and murmured something. “Do you have anything upsetting you?”

“I’m sorry, honey,” Jack quickly apologized. “I shouldn’t have reacted in such a way. I’m simply a little nervous at the moment.”

“It’s all right. It occurs “Before they went to supper, Mary mentioned something.

Mrs. Wilson, Mary’s supervisor, asked if she wanted to file for maternity leave the next day at work because she was already in the sixth month of her pregnancy. With a baby on the way, Jack and Mary are in desperate need of funds, so Mary stated that she would be taking a leave of absence just a few weeks before her due date.

Mrs. Wilson pushed on a leave of absence, pledging to pay her half her salary if she did, but Mary refused, and Mrs. Wilson had no choice but to give in.

Mary was the first to arrive at the cafe one day. Mrs. Wilson beckoned her as she walked to the cupboard to get a new package of coffee grounds. “You’ll have to open the café today, Mary,” she remarked, “since I’m going to the bank and could be late.”

Mrs. Wilson returned later that morning to see the cafe’s sign outside still saying “CLOSED.” She inspected her wristwatch. It was 11:00 a.m., one hour beyond their scheduled start time.

Why hasn’t the café reopened? Is it true that Mary abruptly left? The woman was perplexed.

“Do you happen to be there, Mary?” As she entered the cafe, she yelled out, but no one replied. When she phoned Mary’s number, she heard a ringing from the pantry. As she ran over, the old lady’s pulse raced, and she froze in shock as she opened the door. Mary was lying in a pool of blood, unconscious.

“Mary! Honey, get up! You must remain alert!” The elderly lady wept and phoned 911. Mary’s eyelids opened slightly, and she heard the ambulance siren and Mrs. Wilson’s voice for a little period, but the agony and exhaustion were too much for her, and she fainted once again.

When Mary awoke in the hospital a few hours later, she soon comprehended what had occurred. “What happened to my child? What went wrong? “She shouted at the top of her lungs when she realized her baby bump was gone.

“Your child is OK, ma’am,” a nurse stated as she hurriedly entered her room. “However, he’s been kept in the NICU since he’s preterm.”

Mary breathed a sigh of relief, her eyes welling up with tears again, this time from relief that nothing bad had happened. “How is he doing these days? And why does it hurt so much when I move around? “She said, her body writhing in agony.

“Ma’am, you were born through C-section. You must take a break. The doctor will see you in a few minutes “Before leaving the room, the nurse answered.

Mary’s thoughts were suddenly drawn to Jack. Where had he gone? Was he even aware of what had occurred? Is it true that no one told him she was in the hospital? She summoned the nurse and requested that she dial Jack’s phone number, but she was interrupted by her friend Alice, who entered the room with a solemn face. “Mary, there’s no need for it. He will be unable to attend.”

“Why? Is everything in order?”

“Not really,” Alice said, her voice sorrowful. “Your employer phoned him shortly after you were transported to the hospital, but he told him he didn’t want to see you again. He gave her my phone and informed her that he was weary of adapting every day and that he’d met a female who could help him reach his goals.”

“What?” Mary’s cheeks became flushed. “No, Alice, you’re not right. This can’t possibly be real!”

“I’m sorry, Mary, but Jack won’t be returning.”

At Alice’s statement, Mary fell into tears. I’m back on my own. I’m not sure I should have brought a child into this. He will now suffer as a result of my actions. Mary couldn’t seem to get away from blaming herself.

“Mary, take a deep breath and relax. I’ve arrived “In an attempt to soothe her, Alice remarked. But none of those words were able to console her. She sobbed for several hours that day and for weeks following, bemoaning her dreadful destiny.

Alice treated her as if she were a mother, and she stayed with her until her son was released from the hospital. Mary was able to overcome her depression and acquire a positive attitude on life with the aid of Alice over time. But there was one more surprise in store for her.

After a few years…

Mary was driving home after dropping Timothy off at school when she noticed a boy across the street. He wore spectacles and appeared to be weak, as if he hadn’t eaten in days. Mary decided to approach him, feeling bad about his situation.

“Hello, young man,” she said. “Would you want to grab a quick bite to eat with me?”

He replied with a smile, “I would love to!” “Please hand my cane to me. I can’t seem to locate it.”

The heart of Mary skipped a beat. Oh, no, he’s blind! That’s why he wore those spectacles in the first place! She hurriedly took the cane and delivered it to him. With a grin, the child thanked her.

“Can you tell me your name?” As they walked to a restaurant, Mary enquired.

“Aiden is what you may call me. Everyone at the orphanage refers to me as such. I regularly beg on the streets since they don’t feed me good there.”

“So, Aiden, are you completely blind?”

A smile appeared on the boy’s face. “Yes, I am.” To show it, Aiden, took off his eyeglasses and revealed his eyes, which were completely obscured by cataracts.

“No way! This is unthinkable!” Mary exclaimed, her hand covering her lips. Aiden resembled her son Timothy without his spectacles!

“I’m sorry, I didn’t want to scare you,” the youngster whispered, his hands quivering as he replaced his spectacles.

“No, Aiden,” Mary answered quietly, “you didn’t frighten me.” “Could you please let me know when your birthday is?”

“Oh, it’s the 13th of August. But why are you inquiring in the first place? Will you send me a present on that particular day?” The youngster guffawed.

When Mary heard Aiden’s remark, her cheeks reddened. Not only was the child a spitting resemblance of her son, but he also had the same birthday. Something doesn’t seem to be entirely right. I’ll have to find out how to make it happen! Mary made a pledge to herself.

Mary accompanied the youngster home after leaving the restaurant that day to discover more about his life and parents. Aiden, on the other hand, claimed to know nothing other than the fact that he had been at the orphanage from birth.

In the days that followed, Mary made it her duty to compare Aiden’s DNA to her own. Surprisingly, though, the outcomes were unfavorable. She then did another test, this time comparing Timothy’s DNA to Aiden’s, and the findings were shocking: they shared 92 percent of their DNA.

She began investigating more into how this was possible and launched a complaint against the hospital. Imagine her amazement when Jack showed there as a witness and claimed he knew exactly what was going on.

Mary’s kid was stillborn, he confessed. A homeless lady, on the other hand, had left her newborn twins at the hospital on the same day. Jack rushed to the hospital after Mrs. Wilson’s call, but when he saw his child’s condition, he bribed the nurse to replace the kid and fled.

“I didn’t want to be with you, Mary, since I was fed up with our shabby living conditions. But I felt horrible about abandoning you “he stated “I remember how upset you were when you told me how lonely you were when your family abandoned you, so I made sure you had someone with you even after I left.”

Mary couldn’t think of anything to say. She cried when the police arrested the nurse and Jack, not because she was angry over the betrayal, but because Timothy’s brother had to suffer because of her so-called ex-husband and the pitiful nurse.

Finally, feeling bad for Aiden, Mary decided to adopt him and started the paperwork. Aiden’s birth, of course, brought joy to Mary’s life. She had only requested one kid from God, but Gold surprised her with two gorgeous boys.

What can we take away from this narrative?

  • Lies have an uncanny ability to rise to the surface. The nurse and Jack had hoped the truth about the infants being exchanged would never come out, but it did.
Every person we encounter serves a purpose. Aiden came into Mary’s life because she was meant to have two handsome boys.
