Sisters Both Give Birth To Twins On Same Day – The Four Babies Belong To The Same Mommy

After years of trying, Annie and Joby Johnston became parents to quadruplets in 2013. A surrogate mother, who also happens to be Annie’s sister, Chrissy, carried and delivered two of their babies.

It looked like the struggle was over when Annie Johnston and her husband, Joby, both 34 at the time, received a call from their physicians announcing the current round of reproductive treatments had failed once more.

Annie’s sister Chrissy, on the other hand, decided to come up with a creative solution. Chrissy discovered that she could function as a surrogate mother for her sisters after doing some study, and she presented this option to Annie and Joby.

The couple decided to take Chrissy up on her offer after some deliberation, and Chrissy was inseminated with Annie’s fertilized eggs. Chrissy got pregnant with twins after only a few weeks.

Just when things appeared to be taking a remarkable turn, the situation began to improve even more. Fertility physicians say that if a couple that is having trouble conceiving quits trying, they have a better chance of getting pregnant. This is precisely what happened to Annie and Joby. But wait, there’s more: it came out that she, too, would be giving birth to twins.

Joby informed the doctor that they were “ready for a new challenge” because they hadn’t been able to conceive in five years. “If the upshot of this is two twin pregnancies giving us quadruplets, bring it on,” he said. “We were prepared if the worst difficulty he could offer us was four infants right now.”

As if their story wasn’t incredible enough, both sisters gave birth on the same day. Annie was able to watch the birth of her two twin boys, Charles and Thomas, because Chrissy gave birth first. Then she proceeded to birth Grace and Hadley, the twin children.

Despite being born to two separate moms, all four quadruplets were born healthily.
