Kind 8-Yr-Old Asks Mom To Stop Car So He Can Help An Elderly Woman Up The Stairs

When Maurice Adams Jr., 8, saw an elderly woman trying to climb a flight of stairs, he made it his mission to assist her.

Maurice was driving his sister and mother home from her high school graduation, when he noticed a struggling old woman with a walker staring out the window. He requested that his mother, Contricia, put the car in park so that he might walk out and assist the woman.

“Can I go out there and help her up the steps?” he inquired. Contricia remarked.

Riley Duncan was in the car behind them, and his heart was overjoyed when he realized why the automobile in front of him had stopped. He then recorded the kind little boy who got out of his automobile to assist an elderly stranger.

Maurice approached the woman and asked if he could assist her, and she enthusiastically accepted. He supported her with his hand on her back and assisted her in lifting her walker up each step.

They exchanged an embrace as they reached the top of the concrete stairs, and both the old woman and Maurice were smiling. Maurice was then told that he is “unique.”

Maurice dashed down the stairs and into his mother’s car, where they drove away.

Contricia was pleased of her son for stepping up to assist an elderly woman in need.

“It’s moving. She subsequently commented, “It’s extremely moving.”

Riley, who was pleased to have observed the act of compassion, posted a video of an unknown child assisting an elderly woman on social media with the caption, “Thank God for our youth.”

The small child’s generosity touched many people’s hearts online.

“That was a lovely gesture of compassion. He certainly brightened her day, and he must have felt great about himself as well! His parents must be really proud of him. “I know I am,” Yasmine H. wrote.

“What a lovely thing the young man did. Also, thank you to whoever was driving the vehicle into which the child got in for stopping to enable him assist the lady. She hugged him, which was really thoughtful. “I’m sure the sweet young child brightened her day,” James B. wrote.
