Millionaire Helps Boy After Viral Photo Shows Him Doing Homework on a Sidewalk Under Street Lamp

A boy’s wish is granted in a popular Middle Eastern folk tale when he discovers a magical lamp.

This year, echoes of that story reverberated all the way from Peru to the Middle East, when a child was seen doing his homework beneath a street lamp, wishing his family had electricity.

A video of Vctor Martn Angulo Córdoba completing homework under a Peruvian street lamp was posted thousands of times on news websites and social media thanks to city security agents making it public.

When the photographs went viral, they drew the attention of many crucial people who could help.

The mayor of the city, Arturo Fernández Bazán, was the first to respond to the committed young guy. He discovered that Vctor was utilizing a street light because his family’s home lacked electricity. Vctor’s mother didn’t simply lack the financial means to pay; she also lacked the necessary documentation to show her ownership of the property, which were required to properly install electricity service.

Rosa had assistance from the mayor of Moche throughout the process, and he also delivered school materials to support Vctor’s ambition to stay in school and become a police officer.

But it was Yaqoob Yusuf Ahmed Mubarak, a billionaire importer and chocolatier from Bahrain, who was the true genie who could deliver a fairytale ending. Vctor’s determination moved the businessman, who was reminded of his own boyhood, and he travelled nearly halfway across the world to see him and his family.

When Yaqoob visited in May and saw the state of Victor’s home and school, he decided to restore the house, including building a second floor for bedrooms, and vowed to update the school’s infrastructure, including adding furnishings and equipping a new computer center in Victor’s honor. He also took advantage of the chance to help Rosa launch a small business.

Yaqoob dropped to his belly on the sidewalk with Vctor to replicate the “famous” night sight under the street lamp, and they read books together, giving local photographers something to remember.

He also gave him clothing and a billfold “full of money,” and he sealed their bond by giving Victor’s pal a new wheelchair.

In most fairy tales, the wish granter goes “poof” and vanishes…

Yaqoob, on the other hand, has pledged to return for the opening of the new school and residence. Until then, owing to the generosity of a donor and new friend from across the globe, there will be energy to study by and enough money to pay for it.
