Real-life Hero! Boy Who Saved Sister From Dog Attack Last Year Was Invited By Tom Holland To ‘Spider-Man’ Set

Tom Holland has made good on a promise he made to a little boy who made headlines last year after saving his younger sister from a dog attack.

Bridger Walker’s tale went viral in July 2020, attracting the attention of Hollywood celebrities such as Chris Evans, Robert Downey, Jr., and Tom Holland, who plays the popular character “Spider-Man.”

The Avengers sent Bridger messages of congratulations and best wishes after learning about the occurrence.

After the dog bit him, the brave child had to undergo a two-hour operation and 90 stitches on his face. Bridger was contacted by Holland at the time, who informed him that he might attend the filming of the new Spider-Man film.

And, true to his word, Holland followed through on his pledge by inviting Bridger to the set of “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” There, the 25-year-old actor arranged for the youngster and his family to have an unbelievable once-in-a-lifetime event.

A tour of the film set was included in the visit. Bridger also stepped in as Zendaya’s stunt double, practicing web-slinging with the real Spider-Man!

Bridger’s father, Robert Walker, shared photos and a video from the “dream-come-true journey” on Instagram. He expressed himself as follows:

“We’ve enjoyed reading the @spidermanmovie reviews. While there are numerous reasons why it will be remembered as one of the finest films ever made, I believe one of the most important is that the cast and crew are nice, friendly, and passionate people. People who learned of a young boy’s accident and wanted to put things right.”

While the two were playing outside their Wyoming home last year, Bridger protected his then 4-year-old sister from a German Shepherd mix that charged toward her. When asked why he interfered, the small hero replied, “If someone had to die, I believed it should be me.”

Those aren’t statements you’d expect to hear from a young child, but Bridger was a special young man. He had a strong and fearless heart, despite his little stature, and was prepared to go to any length to protect his loved ones.

Bridger was left with a scar on his face as a result of his injuries, and his father recorded his recuperation on Instagram.

Bridger doesn’t consider his scar as “something to be proud of,” but he also doesn’t see it as a symbol of his courageous gesture, according to Robert.

“He just thinks, ‘I was a brother, and brothers do what brothers do.’ It serves as a reminder that his sister was not injured and is well,” he explained.

“The sight on the kids’ faces was priceless as we turned the blue-screen to see Tom, in full costume, high above the set on a light post,” Robert said on Instagram.

He also stated that he will never forget Holland and Zendaya’s “grace and generosity” to his family. The 25-year-old actress approached his adolescent daughter and complimented her nails as soon as they got on set.

“I’m not sure she realizes how much that little deed means to me — to witness my darling daughter glow with self-assurance and delight,” Robert remarked.

Holland’s brother, Harry Holland, was also acknowledged by the father for serving as their personal guide for the day. He called him a “gentleman” and a “really decent guy,” according to him.

“I don’t think there are any more humble and gracious young guys in Hollywood than the Holland lads,” he said.

Bridger’s family also has a YouTube account called Bridger Buddies, where they post clips from their time on the set of “Spider-Man: No Way Home.”
