A Mother in North Carolina Gives Birth to Her 16th Baby and All Her Children Have Names Starting with the Letter “C”

A mother of 15 has given birth to her 16th child, all of whom have names that begin with the letter ‘C.’ She claimed she modeled them on her husband’s name, which begins with the same letter.

Patty Hernandez, 39, of Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, has named her newborn Clayton, carrying on a long family tradition.

In honor of their 38-year-old father, Carlos, she named all of her children with the same first letter.

Patty, on the other hand, confessed that she and her husband had struggled to come up with fresh names beginning with the letter ‘C’ before their last kid was born.

“We couldn’t find the appropriate name,” she told The Mirror, “but then ‘Clayton’ suddenly jumped into my head.”

“All of our children’s names begin with the letter ‘C,’ and we intend to maintain it that way. Carlos is the name of my husband… it’s a homage to him.”

The mother admitted that her most recent pregnancy was the most difficult, but she is open to having more children.

Patty, who owns a cleaning business, considers her extended family a “gift” from God.

“God has given us with all these kids,” she continued. “I know some people disagree and there are negative remarks, but it is a huge blessing for us.”

“I never imagined I’d have a large family until I started having children.” Then I thought to myself, “This is cool, so why not?” It’s a lot of fun.”

“We will have more children if God wants us to have more children.”

Carlos was by his wife’s side on May 5 when Clayton was born, weighing 3.6 kg.

Patty gave birth at 40 weeks pregnant, which was her longest pregnancy.

When Patty was admitted to the hospital for labor, she stated most of the staff recognized her.

She explained, “They’re like, ‘You were here last year, we see you every year.'”

The couple is able to pay their bills thanks to their cleaning service, and they are hoping that their eldest son Carlos Jr., 13, would soon be able to assist at the family business.

Carla and Caitlyn, 10 years old, Calvin and Catherine, 6 years old, and Caleb and Caroline, 3 years old, are the couple’s three pairs of twins.

Christopher, 11, Cristian, 9, Celeste, 8, Cristina, 7, Carol, 4, Camilla, 2, Charlotte, 1, and Crystal, 1 are the other children.
