Selena Gomez Reveals Why She Felt ‘Ashamed’ After Posing For Album Cover

During a recent chat with Amy Schumer at the Hollywood Reporter’s Comedy Actress Roundtable, Selena Gomez revealed that she was embarrassed to pose naked for the cover of one of her most popular albums, “Revival.”

The comedian said, “Someone like Selena, who was sexualized at such a young age, but you’ve just rejected it and have really established your own style and your own presence,” adding that “the media and online users put you through a system and make you feel like this is how you have to do it.”

In reference to the 2015 studio album “Revival,” Selena said, “I actually made an album cover and I was so ashamed when I did it. It’s incredibly unjust.

The singer said, “I had to work through those feelings because I realized it was connected to something deeper that was going on. “It was a decision I wasn’t always satisfied with, but I think I’ve done my best, at least I try to be myself,” the speaker said.

She continued, “I’m not an overtly sexual person, but occasionally I like to feel sexy, but that doesn’t imply it’s for someone else. It might apply to me.

She closed by stating that she now has a new outlook and desires to be in charge of her profession. “I now realize that there are limits that I must establish for myself. I love and adore so many people, but I must act in my own best interests.”
