Blind 8-Year-Old’s Piano Skills Mesmerizes And Moves Mom To Tears

If listening to music is like eating for the soul, Pek Nisa Göker has a lot of it. With her incredible piano skills, the 8-year-old Turkish girl is warming the hearts of music fans around. She is able to perform Mozart and Chopin classics as well as original compositions. But the fact that she is blind makes her artistry all the more impressive.

Early on, her talent was recognized by her family, who live in the Turkish town of Kaş near Antalya, leading her mother to publish videos of her daughter playing the piano. In April 2021, she started uploading them to Instagram. In the same year, she started doing the same on YouTube. She currently has 8,500 subscribers to her YouTube channel and more than 95,500 followers on Instagram. Videos of Göker skillfully performing works by Handel’s “Sarabande” and French composer Paul de Senneville’s “Chopin’s Spring Waltz” may be found among the posts.

Additionally, Göker writes her own music. Her mother would describe the sources of the titles and the original scores in separate Instagram postings. For instance, on January 29, 2022, Göker played the piano for her most recent composition, “Mr. Loran,” which tells the story of “a 7-year-old kid who dreamed of flying in the sky clinging on to the wings of birds.”

On July 13, 2022, a video was uploaded in which Göker performed another challenging original composition. Her mother claimed that her daughter had woken up in the middle of the night and begged to play the piano since she was unable to sleep. “I took a picture with your consent. This song was produced. She gave it the name “Dream.”

But without the ability to read music, how can she learn to play the challenging piano pieces? In a sad video uploaded on May 13, 2022, her mother demonstrated how.

The opening theme from the “Game of Thrones” television series was played in the video by Göker’s mother. Göker played what she had heard almost exactly after only one listen, bringing her mother to tears.

Her mother continued, “She first mentally records the notes she hears, then tries to play them piece by piece. She remembers everything he says forever.

Göker’s extraordinary skill has caught the interest of Turkish music fans, who have invited her to perform at prestigious places like Istanbul’s Maximum Uniq auditorium and other venues, as well as on television.

Along with making the announcement that Göker would soon release an album “made completely of her own creations,” her mother also included a picture of her daughter dancing around the recording studio.

On May 20, 2022, Göker, one of a set of triplets, celebrated her eighth birthday with her sisters. Videos and pictures from the occasion showed her parents and the girls having fun doing everyday activities like blowing bubbles and going for walks in the park.

In one moving post, Göker dances with her father to a recording of an original song named “Flowers of my heart” that was composed only for him.

Her online videos are popular, and viewers are moved by her talent at such a young age.

“Incredible. This is the most fluid and flawlessly played thing I’ve ever heard. Not merely error-free notes, but also flawless pitch and rhythm. All with her tiny hands,” a supporter wrote on Twitter.

She is incredibly skilled, unlike anyone I have ever seen. Another user on Instagram wished her blessings.

We’re overjoyed to see Göker’s family developing her skill and having thousands of people notice it, and we wish her many more joyful days playing the piano.
