Bride Spends Less Than $10 On Wedding Dress: ‘I Still Felt Like A Princess On My Day’

The wedding day is a once-in-a-lifetime event for anyone getting married. It’s trite, but it’s not uncommon for a bride to want to appear and feel like a princess. Weddings, as we all know, can be rather costly affairs. Wedding gowns can cost hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars, putting a burden on a person’s budget. Rachel Connealy, on the other hand, sees things differently. This Florida bride decided that the way the day proceeded would not be determined by her clothing. She just went viral after purchasing two gowns for less than $10 each.

“I still felt like a princess on my day,” the newlywed told Good Morning America. “I suppose this is my interpretation of what a princess looks like.”

Rachel’s economical wedding dress choices went viral on TikTok.

“You never know what you’ll find 2 weeks before your wedding at the thrift store,” she added.

Rachel also garnered a million views on TikTok for another garment she had shared. “I acquired this silk dress at a thrift store shortly after we got engaged and wore it to the wedding.”

Interestingly, the 26-year-old chose to shop for her wedding gown at a thrift store. And, as luck would have it, she was able to get one dress for $3 and the other for $5. She now had the finances to have the wedding she had always dreamed, thanks to the low cost of her wedding gown. And, for a moment, let’s be honest with ourselves. Something feels predetermined when we buy a dress for $3 and are compared to Meghan Markle.

On TikTok, this bride’s gown received a lot of positive feedback. “Genuinely gorgeous,” one user commented. It looks like it came straight out of a magazine. Isn’t it true that the thrifting gods have favorites?” “Amazing findings, IDK how you accomplished it but they are both so distinctive and lovely!!!” remarked another person. “My wedding dress cost $50 from Goodwill,” one commenter said. Here, you remind me of the lovely Meghan Markle! Congratulations.”
