Denzel Washington has broken his silence about the Will Smith slapping incident at the Oscars, where he had a front-row seat.

“Bad Boys 4” is apparently on hold, while Netflix has shelved “Fast and Loose,” a film they were producing with Smith. Variety reports that it has been pushed on the back burner.

“Will Smith is a complete poison. You can’t talk about him without bringing up the slap. So no one will rush to greenlight a Will Smith film right now,” Variety lead correspondent Elizabeth Weigmester remarked.

The world’s most famous slap was given the full “SNL” treatment. Smith was made fun of all throughout the show, including on “Weekend Update” and in another comedy with Chris Redd.
