Adam Sandler Shows Support For Chris Rock After Oscars Incident
After the Oscars incident this weekend, Adam Sandler has thrown his support behind Chris Rock.
The 55-year-old Uncut Gems star has defended the comedian who was slammed by an enraged Will Smith at the Academy Awards event on Sunday.
On Tuesday, March 29th, Sandler took to Instagram to express his excitement for Rock’s Ego Death World Tour, writing: “Can’t wait for this.” I adore you, friend!”
In the wake of the Oscars scandal, the comedian revealed dates for his comedy global tour, which would take him to the United Kingdom for four days in May.
The Ego Death tour is now in the United States before kicking out on May 12th at The Royal Albert Hall, followed by stops in Birmingham, Leeds, and Manchester.
In August, Rock will perform in New Zealand and Australia.
Sandler and Rock have been friends and coworkers for a long time, having worked together on Saturday Night Live in the early 1990s, where they were dubbed the “Bad Boys of SNL.”
They went on to star in The Week Of and the Grown Ups film trilogy together.
Rock has decided not to seek charges against Smith for slapping him across the face during the Academy Awards ceremony.
