Laura Scheel and Matt Grodsky met for the first time in their preschool when they were three years old.

Matt recalls one of his first recollections, that of proposing to Laura.

“One of my earliest recollections is standing up in front of my pre-school class at the age of three and stating that I would marry her someday,” Matt added.

Laura and Matt used to spend a lot of time together playing hide-and-seek and having wicked adventures.

Laura, he claimed, was the one who showed him how to ‘properly’ eat string cheese.

“I remember trying to impress her at the preschool during a Cinco De Mayo party when we were trying to break open a piñata,” Matt remembered.

“Fortunately, I was the kid who pulled it off, and I presume it caught her attention,” he continued.

Their love, however, did not last past pre-school. After that, they lost contact with one another. But fate intervened and brought this pair back together.

During high school, they ultimately reconnected through a common buddy.

Laura and Matt struck it off right away because they’ve always had affections for each other, and they became a couple two weeks later.

Surprisingly, Matt kept his pledge to Laura from preschool. Laura reflected on the moments leading up to Matt’s second proposal to her.

“She kept asking me why I appeared anxious the whole way to preschool,” I said.

“When she wasn’t looking, I kept checking my pocket to make sure the ring was still there.” Matt remarked.
