Frozen In A ‘Time Capsule’ – Kurt Russel & Goldie Hawn’s Charming Home

Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell are famous for having one of Hollywood’s most successful romances. Despite the fact that the couple has never married, they have demonstrated that a ring and a marriage certificate are not required for a beautiful and successful relationship. Their blended family is bright and talented, and it’s evident that they’ve spent a lot of time together over the years making memories.

Hawn has two children from her marriage to Bill Hudson: a son named Oliver Hudson and a daughter named Kate Hudson, both of whom have gone on to be prominent actresses. After her divorce from Bill was finalized, Hawn began dating Kurt, and the rest is history. Wyatt Russell, the couple’s biological son, is their only child.

They also have a few shared residences in various locations across North America, where they have spent significant time together. One of their properties is in Aspen, Colorado, and it is recognized for its breathtaking views. More importantly, it’s clear that the house is extremely important to the family, since Oliver recently granted fans an exclusive tour of his renowned parent’s home.

Oliver dazzled hosts Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest, as well as many of his fans, with information about the Aspen property during a virtual appearance on “Live! with Kelly and Ryan” in 2022. He shared some of his favorite memories that took place right there in the house, in addition to showing off how gorgeous the snowy mountains looked behind him.

Time with the family

Oliver has treasured the private, down-to-earth times he has shared with his renowned family. He is an outstanding actor who has built a name for himself while still demonstrating his pride in coming from a wealthy family. He even starred alongside his mother, Goldie Hawn, in the 1999 comedy “The Out-of-Towners.” Oliver is most recognized for his appearances in “Rules of Engagement,” “Nashville,” and “Scream Queens” on television.

According to Travel & Leisure in January 2018, Hawn and Kurt enjoy an annual family vacation to Aspen to spend quality time together. The couple has been together since 1983, and they’ve been flaunting their affection for one another ever since. They’ve also demonstrated to the world what a successful blended family looks like.

Four years later, it’s apparent that the family continues to visit Aspen together and likes creating new memories. During an appearance on “Live! with Kelly and Ryan” on Jan. 5, 2022, Oliver gave audiences an inside look at his famous parents’ home in Aspen, and demonstrated exactly how beautiful the couple’s combined estate is.

Together, we’re making memories

When speaking with Ripa and Seacrest, Oliver said that he was now staying in the residence’s guest house. The magnificent vistas of a valley and mountain range peering through the windows were dubbed “dream world” by Seacrest.

Ripa seemed to agree, and she referred to Colorado as “the truest symbol of God on earth.”

Oliver explained, “We’ve been coming up here for 37 years.” “Up here, I attended to primary school. I took my kids out of school in Los Angeles five years ago and moved them up here to live in the mountains and give them some independence and freedom. It is, without a doubt, a truly unique location.” Oliver went on to say:

“First, Mom built this house, and then my stepfather Kurt built the other.” So, in 1985, we spent two years here. It’s a time capsule in a sense. Those drapes you see are about 30 years old, if you know what I’m talking about. Mom refuses to keep up with the times, which is kind of cool.”

By enrolling his children in “ski P.E.,” which is a gym lesson on the ski slopes, Oliver appears to be attempting to pass down some traditions and keep old family memories alive and well. “Snow days were the best part about being here,” Oliver added. “On Wednesdays, they let everyone go skiing early.” He continued, ”

“The educational system is very dissimilar. In fifth grade, my child had a page of homework that was delivered on Monday and due on Friday. That was the end of it. They believe in returning home, playing in the snow, and spending time in the mountains. That’s how they think around here.”

Skiing Enthusiasts

He also talked about his wife Erinn Bartlett’s skiing ability throughout the conversation. He stated

“My wife grew up in Massachusetts and was a member of a ski team. She was essentially skiing on ice sheets.”

He also discussed his own abilities, noting that he is no longer as risk-averse as he once was. He stated:

“Since I was five years old, I’ve been skiing. I’m quite competent. Anything is possible for me to ski. Things have changed since I was 45 years old. I don’t do the things that I do. I ski quickly, but I don’t go wild and leap off cliffs or anything. I used to be completely insane.”

What about the rest of the family’s ski skills? They all appear to be well-versed in how to navigate the hills. Kate shared an Instagram photo of herself, her two sons, Oliver, and a friend on top of a mountain a few years ago. They’re wearing skiwear without shirts in the photo, while she and her buddy are wearing only brightly colored sports bras. She wrote in the caption:

“Skis on, shirts off! #SpringSki”

She also shared another shot from the same vacation, this time wearing only a T-shirt over her ski gear.

“GetYourTShirtsOut,” she said in the caption of the shot.

It’s no wonder that the family loves to ski, given how long they’ve spent their winters in Aspen. And based on how frequently they post about their excursions, it’s evident that they enjoy every moment of their stay.
