Man Gives His First Class Seat To 88Yo Elderly Woman And He Sits Beside The Toilet In The Economy Class
Violet, who was 88 years old at the time, told Jack that she had always wanted to sit in the first class cabin, and despite the fact that the two of them had never met, Jack graciously fulfilled her wish.
Jack and Violet were on a flight from New York to London when Jack chose to offer his first class ticket to Violet, according to a touching Facebook post shared by Virgin Atlantic flight attendant Leah Amy.
Before they boarded the plane, Jack and Violet had struck up a friendship.
“Jack and his family purchased seats in our premium class cabin for a journey home from New York,” Leah said in her article, “but when he got onboard, Jack went and found Violet in economy and swapped seats with her.”
Violet, who has worked as a nurse in both the United Kingdom and the United States, frequently visits her daughter in New York, according to Leah.
The flight she took that day, however, was the first time she had flown after her knee surgery.
Violet expressed her desire to fly in first class, despite her familiarity with long-haul flights.
Jack then sat in the economy compartment after swapping his first-class seat with Violet.
“He then remained on the row of seats directly next to the economy toilets for the rest of the flight and never made a noise or asked for anything,” Leah wrote.
“No fuss, no attention,” she said, “he literally did it out of the kindness of his own heart, no one asked him to.”
“You should have seen her expression when I put her into her bed after supper,” she said. She claimed that her daughter would not believe her and that she needed a ‘selfie’ to prove it, but that she lacked a phone number or an email address.”
