Brad Pitt Says His Movie Days Are Numbered: ‘I Consider Myself On My Last Leg’
Brad Pitt is one of the few movie stars who is as well-known worldwide. Numerous classic films, including “Fight Club,” “Ocean’s Eleven,” and “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” include the man. And despite turning 58 in December 2021, the legendary Hollywood performer is still cast in well-regarded films. Pitt has already appeared in several movies in 2022 alone, not to mention the other movies he is developing on the side. It’s obvious that Pitt has come a long way since he first started in show business in the late 1980s as he approaches his 60th birthday.
Pitt started making television appearances in the 1980s after playing numerous uncredited tiny film roles in hit shows like “Dallas” and “21 Jump Street.” He first became well-known for his hitchhiker role in “Thelma & Louise.” Then, in “A River Runs Through It,” he had his first opportunity to play a prominent role in 1992. In 1994, he then appeared in “Legends of the Fall” and “Interview with the Vampire.”
Pitt has won numerous honors and awards since his early career, including the Best Supporting Actor Oscar in 2020 for his role in “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” The celebrity supports groups like One Campaign, which fights AIDS and poverty in poor nations, and engages in considerable charitable activities as well.
Pitt has a great resume, but he recently admitted that he’s not sure how long he’ll stay in the acting business. In fact, he believes he is nearing the end of his road and is preparing to slow down.
Pitt has been a well-known figure for a while, and his meteoric rise is just as fascinating as his long-lasting career. He quit college with just two credits remaining toward a journalism degree, according to GQ, with the intention of becoming an art director. He had always loved the arts, but he hadn’t yet discovered his love for acting. PITTS QUOTED:
I belong to the animal species that communicates through art. All I want to do is create. If I’m not producing, I must be dying.
The aspiring star relocated to Los Angeles, where she studied acting and took on odd jobs to support herself. Fortunately, as Pitt started acting in 1987, fortune appeared to be on his side. Pitt’s early work went uncredited, but he quickly established a name for himself by appearing in movies including “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button,” “Fight Club,” “Ocean’s Eleven,” and “Thelma & Louise,” as well as television shows like “Dallas” and “21 Jump Street.”
Pitt’s public relationships with ladies have made him a household figure in Hollywood in addition to his great profession. He had romantic ties to a number of his co-stars, including Juliette Lewis, Robin Givens, and Jill Schoelen. Pitt and Gwenyth Paltrow were also engaged, although they never wed.
Pitt, however, has wed twice before: first to Jennifer Aniston from 2000 until 2005, and then to Angelina Jolie from 2014 to 2019. Pitt and Jolie were spotted together barely one month after Pitt and Aniston announced their divorce, suggesting that these romances may have crossed paths. They first met while working on the set of “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.” In addition to three adoptive children, they have three biological children.
Pitt has been a celebrity since the late 1980s, but it doesn’t look like we’ll be seeing him in front of the camera or behind the scenes producing for very long. In a June 2022 interview with GQ, Pitt said he wasn’t sure how long he saw himself as a working celebrity in the entertainment business. He stated:
“In this final semester or trimester, I think I’m on my last legs. What will be covered in this section? How do I want to create that, then?
Pitt’s IMDB biography indicates that the actor has a full 2022 calendar. He has already produced two films that are finished, and a third is scheduled for release later this year. Additionally, he is working on several projects that are either in pre-production or are in the filming phase but do not yet have a set release date. Pitt has two more projects in development and has appeared in “The Lost City” and “Bullet Train” as an actor.
Over the years, Pitt has developed a sizable fan base that includes his colleague Quentin Tarantino. The esteemed director said:
“Pitt is one of the final big-screen movie stars left. Just a different type of dude, really. And to be perfectly honest, I doubt you could explain what that is since doing so would be like explaining starshine.
Pitt may have a number of projects in the works, but it’s obvious that he is preparing for a slower pace of life. He now gets up early to play the guitar and drive to his beach property, where Pitt claims he feels like he’s “pulling off a cloak or something,” according to GQ. The celebrity seemed prepared to embrace his entire “genuine self.”
