Best Man Steals Bride From Groom After Confessing Love In His Wedding Speech

There’s love, then marriage, and now the best man is attempting to snare the bride from the groom during the wedding?
Desiree White, 32, finally divorced her husband and married Bryant, a lifetime friend and best man at her wedding, after he professed his undying love for her while toasting her nuptials to his then-best friend.
“I remember falling in love with Desiree the first time I saw her,” he said. She had a hold on me. I knew she had to be mine. White, of Illinois, said of Bryant’s best man’s speech during her 2010 wedding to Kennedy News and Media, “I thought she was the most stunning girl I’d ever seen.”

“He described her as “the loveliest person I’ve ever met.” I’ve never met anyone like her. I assumed I’d have to find a way to get her back after learning she had a boyfriend, but then I met [White’s ex-husband] and we became friends,’ “She recalled something.

Bryant White (right) confessed his undying love for his now-wife Desiree in his best man's speech at her 2010 wedding to his then-best friend.

The identity of White’s former spouse is unclear.
Bryant shared his heart in front of them and their 200 wedding guests, but she and her ex sat slack-jawed next to each other.
“Then [Bryant] just said, ‘Love you both — congrats,’ and that was the end of it.” Her ears “turned scarlet” with humiliation after his admission, she continued. “Everyone was laughing — and then it became quiet,” White claimed, describing a sense of unease that swept the room.
And, because of their years-long friendship’s tight platonic character, she admittedly was “perplexed” by Bryant’s confession.
“Bryant and I met in class in high school,” White said to Kennedy News. “At the time, I had a boyfriend, and I wasn’t going to talk to anyone else about it.”
After she showed him a picture of her then-beau, Bryant recognized the kid as someone who shared the same lunch slot as him. The three formed a tight bond not long after.
“Because they were lads, Bryant and my ex-husband were great friends and did a lot together.” “They did everything together,” White said, underlining that during their early years together, she had no romantic feelings for her now-husband.

“‘Hey, what’s up?’ I said. He complimented me on my appearance. I’d never seen him gaze at me like that before.”

White went on to her wedding and wedded despite his ardent stare. Bryant, for his part, is said to have gotten intoxicated before publicly professing his love for her.

White claims she tried to sweep Bryant's profession of love "under the carpet," hoping his revelation was nothing more than a byproduct of his loneliness.

His unfettered unbosoming, however, did not end with his best man’s speech.

White danced with him later that evening, as her new husband cut a rug with her maid of honor. “Why didn’t you ever give me a chance?” White remembers saying to Bryant while boogying. I would’ve always looked after you.”

“I inquired as to what he meant, and he said, ‘Nothing.’ “I love you,” she said, “and I adore [White’s ex-husband].” “Then he fell silent.”

After her huge day of celebrations, a befuddled White remembered wishing she’d “misinterpreted” Bryant’s declaration of love and sought to brush it “under the carpet” in her mind.

She remembered thinking to herself at the moment, “I’m sure it was because he was so intoxicated and lonely.” “I knew he had girlfriends who weren’t working out up to this time, and he was kind of the third wheel.”

White’s friendship with Bryant took a surprising romantic turn less than a year later, when her marriage began to unravel due to her then-adoption husband’s of what she described as “a whole new lifestyle.”

“When [my ex and I] split up and divorced, I went through a period of melancholy and isolation.” She explained, “I really didn’t want to put in any effort for anything,” noting that Bryant provided her with emotional support through their split. “He’d invite me to eat with him or watch a movie with him. He was attempting to assist me.”

Then, to her amazement, White revealed, “Bryant and I just kissed one day when we were hanging together.”

“It seemed to appear out of nowhere.” I didn’t stop him from kissing me, so I kissed him back,” she continued. “I was taken aback by how lovely the kiss was. It felt natural and pleasant.”

Shortly after White and Bryant discovered they were expecting their first child, the pair got hitched.

The pals became lovers almost quickly. She fell pregnant with their first son, Sawyer, who is now 9, within a year, and the pair married in 2012.

“‘I always wanted to marry you, and this isn’t because of the baby, but let’s start this family right,’ [Bryant] remarked. The white spilled out. “We’d always been friends, but when we got together [romantically], it was as if nothing was too difficult because we had each other.”

White, who is now a mother to her and Bryant’s four sons, described herself as “living the dream.”

“It’s a dream come true for us to be parents. Desiree, who is twenty years old, “wouldn’t think she could be a mother of four children,” she declared. “She had no idea what my life would be like now,” she said.

White says that being with Bryant has made her life "better."
