Couple Married For 62 Years Passes Away Just 90 Min Apart Holding Hands Till Their Last Breath
How many people do you know that will remain committed to their partner till death? To be honest, it’s quite difficult to find love these days. In a world that moves quite quickly, people often end up breaking up and injuring themselves. It appears that we lack the time to be patient.
However, there is much that we can learn from the tragic love story of this elderly couple. This Texas couple, who had been married for 62 years, reportedly passed suddenly within an hour of one another while holding hands. Undoubtedly a moving way to go.
Texas residents Delma and Tom Ledbetter clutched hands as they breathed their last at a hospital in 2017. This raises the question of why they decided to stick together until the very end. Tom’s granddaughter Stephanie did appear to have the solution.
She even stayed at the hospital with them until they passed away. According to sources, she was very interested in documenting their final moment together. Even though this would undoubtedly be a heartbreaking image, tragedy may also be beautiful.
Currently, the image of this endearing elderly couple, who were together to the end, quickly became viral. The majority of individuals who viewed this image on social media tried to make comparisons to The Notebook. While there are undoubtedly some similarities between the novel and the marriage, there are also some key variances.
The Ledbetters’ tale is based on a true incident. It is a part of reality, as opposed to the Notebook, which is merely a book. Then it was said that one of the couple’s daughters revealed how her parents had become friends.
Despite the fact that they didn’t date for very long, their marriage remained solid. They were by each other’s sides till the very end, so it had to happen. For over 62 years, the couple had shared a home. And a few days after Delma became ill in 2017, Tom did as well.
The two were then placed together in the same room, which does seem to be a really poignant occurrence. They were partners in death as well after sharing their lives for 60 years. Currently, the pair is interred at Texas’ Restwood Memorial Park.
