Donald Trump, a former president, and Melania Trump, a former first lady, expressed their “deep sadness” at the queen’s passing.

Trump said in a statement that he and Melania “will always treasure our time with the Queen and never forget Her Majesty’s generous friendship, great wisdom, and fantastic sense of humor.” There was no one else like her, such a grand and lovely lady!

Trump claimed that the queen’s reign was “historic and amazing” and that it left “a wonderful legacy of peace and prosperity for Great Britain.”

Trump praised her for “securing and advancing partnerships with the United States and countries throughout the world via her leadership and steadfast diplomacy.” But she will always be remembered for her allegiance to her nation and her unflinching love for her fellow citizens.
