The Predictable Way Leonardo DiCaprio Is Reportedly Handling His Camila Morrone Breakup
Will he still be in love with you when you’re older and less attractive? That’s the question everyone has been asking about Leonardo DiCaprio ever since his recent breakup from model Camila Morrone, who is still very much both. DiCaprio’s split from Morrone continues a long-standing pattern in his dating life: he has yet to openly date a woman above 25 years old, which Morrone is right now. Although the real reason for the couple’s split is unknown, it has been joked and conjectured that DiCaprio’s relationships have a sort of shelf life after age 25. There is even a popular infographic floating around with the numbers to back it up. If the numbers are to be believed, DiCaprio’s next girlfriend may have been born after the release of the 1997 film “Titanic.”
Morrone and DiCaprio reportedly quarantined together in the early stages of COVID-19, when she was 20 and he was 40. Morrone stated to the Los Angeles Times in 2019: “I believe that you should always have an identity apart from the person you are seeing. Although I recognize the relationship, I’m sure that it will fade away and become less of a topic of conversation.”
Morrone’s decision to focus on acting has led to her starring in “Daisy Jones & The Six,” which will be available on Amazon Prime. Fortunately, it is the best result that could have come from the breakup. She’ll continue to establish herself as she emerges from DiCaprio’s shadow with her own endeavors. But how is he faring in the midst of the breakup?
Naturally, Leonardo DiCaprio has reverted to his former behavior. He has been seen hanging out with friends in Malibu after divorcing Camila Morrone. In 2021, he paid around $14 million for a waterfront property there. “Leo has been out every night partying,” a source told Page Six. “He’s been mingling with his old circle and some girlfriends.” Earlier last summer, DiCaprio partied with Tobey Maguire without Morrone, however it wasn’t mentioned if he was also in Malibu. DiCaprio and Maguire, who co-starred in “This Boy’s Life” in 1993 and “The Great Gatsby” in 2013, have remained close friends over the years.
Since the 4th of July weekend, Morrone and DiCaprio have not been seen together in a public setting, according to Page Six. She went on vacation to St. Tropez without him, and that’s when people first realized anything was wrong. Taylor Swift even made reference to the location in her song “The Man,” which is well known for being one of his favorite places.
Despite the swirling rumors, neither Morrone nor DiCaprio have addressed the divorce in the media. The age-related rumors will just have to go away given how secretive DiCaprio is about his personal life. Who knows, maybe Leo’s next love interest may end the trend!
