Fans Want Disney And Warner Bros. To Publicly Apologize To Johnny Depp

Following his high-profile victory in his defamation action against ex-wife Amber Heard, a fan club is demanding an apology from Johnny Depp.

On Wednesday, a jury in the actor’s trial against his ex-wife Amber Heard found in his favor.

After three days of deliberation, the court awarded Depp $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages. Punitive damages in Virginia are limited at $350,000.

Amber Heard, 36, was also awarded $2 million in damages in her $100 million countersuits.

Following Depp’s win, his supporters are demanding an apology from Disney and Warner Bros. for excluding him from both the Pirates of the Caribbean and Fantastic Beasts franchises.

Following stories about his painful breakup from Heard and subsequent libel battle against The Sun, Warner Bros. requested him to withdraw from the role of Gellert Grindelwald, according to an Instagram post by the actor.

For the past few years, Johnny Depp’s career in the film industry has been difficult. Despite his amazing and iconic contributions to film, he has faced major setbacks as a result of his ex-girlfriend Amber Heard writing an op-ed in The Washington Post criticizing him.

Johnny Depp’s acting career began to wane gradually. During the trial of Amber Heard, he spoke out about what it was like to be taken from his industry:

“It’s been a tough six years,” says the author.

“It’s kind of bizarre when you’re Cinderella one day and Quasimodo the next.”

In one of the recent films, he lost Grindelwald from Harry Potter and the Secrets of Dumbledore. Instead, Mads Mikkelsen was cast in the role. Disney has opted to drop his renowned part as “Jack Sparrow” from the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean sequel, which is a big setback for him.

Without Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow, we can’t conceive a Pirates of the Caribbean film. Johnny Depp is responsible for turning Jack Sparrow into the iconic and memorable character he is today.

Depp’s departure from the enormous series was also in response to Amber Heard’s accusation, according to his testimony:

“I believe it was related to Amber’s claims,” says the author.
