Stranger Keeps Secretly Visiting Soldier’s Grave, When Mom Finds Out ‘Why’ She Tracks Him Down

Nothing compares to the anguish of losing a child. Unfortunately, parents whose children are in the military and are stationed in far-flung locations worry about their children’s safety on a daily basis.

Joseph Villasenor was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force who loved his nation more than anything else. Unfortunately, this valiant man was slain at the age of 36 after serving for 16 years. Raymond and Rachel Villasenor, his parents, were devastated. Their son had vanished, and they couldn’t believe it. It was a big challenge to deal with the agony. They told each other about their son’s untimely death and the unexplained occurrence that followed.

When they went to visit Joseph’s grave at the Garden Park Cemetery in Arlington, Texas, they observed something unusual: the tomb of their son was covered with a trail of lovely, green grass, whereas practically every other grave was covered with dead grass and dirt.

They couldn’t possible understand why it happened.

What they didn’t know was that their daughter had met an elderly guy named Jake Reissig by happenstance a few months before.

Jake had been delivering flowers to his late wife’s cemetery when he noticed Joseph’s sister crying over his grave. He couldn’t help but approach her and inquire as to why she was so upset. She revealed that her brother had suddenly died, and the entire family was devastated. Jake couldn’t console her, but he could show them that he cared by doing something.

He decided to pay his respects to Joseph by bringing flowers to his grave. He also watered the lawn on a daily basis.

When Rachel and her husband Raymond went to visit their son’s grave one day, they saw it was completely covered in beautiful flowers. They felt better after seeing it. They didn’t know who to thank for the kind gesture, though.

They eventually discovered that Jake was in charge of the tombstone.

They were brought to tears by Jake’s good deed. They had no words to express their gratitude to this elderly gentleman.
