9 Million People Have Watched What 3 Teens Did for This Crying Homeless Man at Chick-fil-A
Teenagers have a horrible reputation for being lethargic, hooked to their phones, and spending much too much time in the Sonic parking lot.
Even Jesus teaches that you should never look down on someone because of their age, despite the fact that all of those things are true. Ryan Cook, Joshua Mechell, and their friend Alberto Montiel are three teenagers who are actually making a difference.
The three boys were eating at their local Chick-Fil-A in Corpus Christi, Texas, when they witnessed a homeless man crying and struggling to pay for his food. Ryan stated in a Facebook post that has since gone viral, “He had a worn Bible on the table with a picture of Jesus and some change he was counting.”
Chick-Fil- Eddie, the homeless man, frequents the eatery, but never disturbs anyone or begs for assistance unless it’s water for his dog, Socks, according to a restaurant employee.
Eddie’s heart devastated, so the teenagers went above and beyond to help him.
“On the table, he had a Bible.” He also had a photograph of Jesus with him. “We took that as a sign to assist him out,” Ryan explained.
They bought him a Chick-Fil-A gift card and instructed Eddie to wait while they went to a Dick’s Sporting Goods nearby.
Eddie received a jacket, a beanie, three shirts, and a first-aid package from Dick’s. Dick’s then donated some of their display items and contributed $20 toward the purchase.
The dialogue between Eddie and his new buddies is so sweet in the viral video, which has now been viewed 9 million times—not to mention Chick-Fil-Christian A’s instrumentals in the background, which just bring that final touch of Jesus to a fantastic circumstance.
