Will Smith Warns Jada ‘Don’t Use Me’ For Clout In Resurfaced Video
In a resurrected 2019 video that is going viral on social media, Will Smith issues a stern warning to his wife Jada Pinkett Smith, stating, “Don’t use me” for clout.
The 49-second clip, which Pinkett Smith originally captured on her Instagram Live, has racked up thousands of views on Reddit since it surfaced in the aftermath of Smith’s assault on comic Chris Rock at the Oscars last month.
When the 53-year-old actor stormed the stage at the awards presentation and smacked Rock across the face for making a joke about Pinkett Smith’s alopecia, he made international headlines.
The recently uncovered 2019 video has raised suspicion about the state of the Smiths’ marriage, with some viewers stating that the “Men In Black” star appears “uncomfortable” and “anxious” when speaking with his wife.
“You know [therapist] Esther Perel is coming to the table — she’s going to be at the ‘Red Table,'” Pinkett Smith, 50, originally made the video to promote her chat show “Red Table Talk,” with the vision showing her state: “You know [therapist] Esther Perel is coming to the table — she’s going to be at the ‘Red Table.'”
Will Smith has been barred from attending the Oscars for the next ten years, but he can retain his prize.
“Would you say she was crucial in you and I reinventing our relationship?” she asks, flashing the camera on her spouse.
“I would say don’t just start filming me without asking me,” Smith says, angered by the question.
Pinkett Smith appears to dismiss her husband’s request, informing the audience that she is “still dealing with stupidity.”
“Would you say that she [Perel] helped us repair the hurts that we made between each other?” she asks, probing her movie-star husband further.
The “Bad Boys” star is clearly annoyed by the constant inquiry, and he responds, “My social media presence is my bread and butter.” So you won’t be able to use me solely for social networking. I’m standing in my house, so don’t simply start rolling. “Do not begin rolling.”
