Man Takes His Dying Dog Up His Favorite Mountain In A Wheelbarrow For One LAST Walk

The link that develops between a human and a dog is often difficult to put into words.

Dogs are definitely our best companions in life, and their loss leaves a scar that will last a lifetime.

As a result, photographs of a guy wheelbarrowing his dying pet dog up his favorite mountain for one last walk have shattered many hearts!

With his owner, Carlos Fresco, 57, from London, ten-year-old Monty adored exploring hills and treks all over the country.

The pair has climbed to the top of Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons, Wales, numerous times throughout the years, and they have even summited the three peaks.

Carlos decided to return to the beacons after realizing the Labradoodle wasn’t doing well so they could take one last journey together — with the help of a wheelbarrow.

Carlos added that when his dog’s cancer resurfaced and he began to deteriorate rapidly, he felt he was on the verge of death. After an 18-month struggle with leukemia, the dog died on June 21.

Monty ‘enjoyed all the fuss and attention’ from well-wishers, according to Carlos, despite the fact that he was sick on the journey.

He continued:

‘The residents of the hills were both kind and saddened by his worsening condition.’

Carlos continued:

‘In fact, complete strangers asked if they might help push Monty on his final journey, and many complete strangers shed a tear, since we all adore our little four-legged companions.’

I’d want to express my gratitude to them all for their unwavering support, encouragement, and real care for Monty.

That small guy has such an impact on so many people’s lives. Everyone he came into contact with smiled, and he took a moment to think on how life isn’t always that horrible.’

Monty died at the foot of his bed, he said, but he stayed alive so the family could enjoy Father’s Day.

He went on to say:

‘Our small buddies never pass judgment, are always there for you, and bring comfort when things don’t go as planned.

I’d want to express my gratitude to all of the amazing people we met in Brecon and on the hills for their real friendliness and concern.

He was a very unique young man. ‘God bless you, little fella, and goodnight.’

Monty died on June 21 after an 18-month fight with cancer.
