Instead Of A Veil, Bride Wears Daughter Down Aisle And Exchanges Vows While Breastfeeding

Ellora Mort, Dalton Mort’s daughter, was born when she was 19 years old. Dalton has always had Ellora by her side throughout her and her husband’s milestone occasions, from moving into her first house to travelling on their honeymoon.

Dalton knew she wanted Ellora to play a large role in her wedding, but she didn’t want to follow the typical path of having her 2-year-old perform as the flower girl.

Dalton, too, elected not to wear a veil. Instead, she informed her wedding photographer that she would be wearing Ellora on her back for the duration of the ceremony.

It’s known as “babywearing,” and it’s something that an increasing number of brides are doing during their own weddings.

Dalton was already used to having her kid strapped to her back for long periods of time, so it seemed natural. Dalton told InsideEdition.com, “I thought that would keep her calm on a very chaotic day.” “Wearing her allowed me to include her in the ceremony in a way that felt natural for both of us,” says the bride.

Ellora fell asleep comfortably snuggled into her LlléBaby carrier around 20 minutes into the mass. Dalton and Ellora even exchanged vows while she was being nursed.

The cute photos were taken by photographer Laura Schaefer, and they’ve gone viral online, gaining a lot of support from other mums.

Dalton and her husband wouldn’t have it any other way, even if the 2-year-old kept yanking at her mother’s hair and fell asleep throughout the ceremony.
