CEO Gives 2 First-Class Plane Tickets And $10,000 To Each Of Her 5000 Employees

A US CEO has offered everyone of her 5000 workers two airline tickets to any destination of their choice, as well as $10,000 to spend on the vacation as they see fit.

Sarah Blakley, the CEO of the apparel firm ‘Spanx,’ took the decision to recognize her staff for their efforts in creating and running the company.

Blakely founded Spanx while working as a door-to-door fax machine salesperson in her late twenties. She invested $5000 into what would become a multi-billion-dollar enterprise with only $5000 in her bank account. She declares:

“On the whiteboard in my room when I first launched this firm in Virginia Highlands, I set down a goal: this company will one day be worth $20 million. Everyone laughed at me, and I responded, “You know what, I believe that.” I started this firm with little business experience and very little money, but I was motivated by my passion for the client, which gave me the confidence to start it.”

Blakely started her firm from her whiteboard with very little money and no expertise in the business world. Spanx is one of the industry’s market leaders, established on high-quality goods, devotion, and collaboration, despite hurdles.

Blakley was dubbed the youngest self-made female billionaire by Forbes magazine in 2012, and her net worth is believed to be at $1.2 billion.

Her poor beginnings, she claims, prompted her to make sure that when the company evolved, all of her employees were fairly rewarded. She announced the present to colleagues during a party, much to their joy. She declared in an Instagram post:

“Behind the scenes, @spanx is informing staff about the sale and cooperation with Blackstone (some in real time, some through Zoom). It was an emotional announcement, with joyous tears streaming down our faces as we recognized how far we’d come. The emotions flowed freely as I surprised everyone with two first-class @delta airline tickets to anyplace in the world, as well as $10,000 in cash to spend on the trip. I truly want each employee to commemorate this occasion in their own unique way and create a lasting memory! Wishing you a magical 21st year and many more to come.”
