Four Men Push Elderly Woman All The Way Home In The Pouring Rain After Her Mobility Scooter Fails
With so much bad news in the headlines, it’s easy to lose sight of the common sense and compassion that abounds all around us.
Katty Castro, a public relations representative at the Florida Living Independent Community in the state of Florida, chose to share the good news story she discovered with local news reporters.
When an elderly woman’s mobility scooter broke down in the rain, four guys raced to her aid and pushed her all the way home.
Castro asked the guys if she may snap a photograph when they came home, and they agreed. The men all worked at Rebounderz Adventure Parks, a local attraction that attracts both residents and visitors.
According to Fox News, Castro said:
“I was astonished to hear a ruckus, laughter, and four people shoving one of my woman residents during a hard storm in Florida, as this is a normally peaceful area. They were dragging her up the steep slope to her house. These guys were so intent on assisting despite the bad weather that they even covered her with an umbrella, demonstrating even greater compassion on their side.”
Adding:
“As a mother of adolescents, I want my children to grow up to be like these “modern heroes,” capable of making a difference every day, regardless of the circumstances. Let us show compassion to one another through these difficult COVID times.”
One of the individuals who assisted the woman, JohnMorgan Massa, said:
“Her hair was actually kept dry by a plastic bag over her head. We couldn’t leave her out in the rain, in the middle of the road, desperately trying to get her scooter to function again. All we wanted was for her to get home safely. Almost everyone may assist someone whose electric wheelchair broke down in the rain by holding a door, smiling, cleaning up someone’s spilled goods, reaching for an item on the highest shelf in the grocery store, and, yes, helping someone whose electric wheelchair broke down in the rain.”
