Bring Back Home Economics Class Because Our Kids Lack Basic Life Skills

Of course, we study domestic economics, family sciences and consumer science at school, courses that teach the basic skills necessary for daily life. The courses in domestic economics have several good goals, including training young girls to be good wives and housekeepers, teaching them to clean, cook, sew, and teach them life skills. On the other hand, the workshop is based on the idea that boys should grow up to be strong men who can build and repair and work with metal and wood. So, while boys learn to build things, girls should learn to sew, cook, and manage.

This is changing the whole concept of the traditional family and bringing both positive and negative changes to the lives of young women and young men in the United States and around the world.

On the other hand, there are parents who worry that their children lack the basic skills to survive in the world as adults. I believe English, history and numeracy are crucial, but current school education programs lack such lessons. With limited subsidies, schools are focusing on things like normal meritocratic learning. There are courses that are not suitable for most modern training modules, and household issues do not provide students with the skills they need to cook, be healthy, or have a solid account.

Nowadays, classes on explicit financial aspects of home ownership are limited to secondary school. Today, students can study economics – related subjects such as business administration, finance, and business administration, but not financial management.

There were only 3.5 million trials in 2012, a 38 percent reduction in ten years. The quality of courses has dropped, but the course has not been removed from the school system entirely.

Some say the class can still be included, and the children are learning how to save money and time. While some see the return of the Home Ec Shop class as a positive step in the right direction, others believe it could make a huge difference to the lives of many.
