Preschool ‘Sweethearts’ Who Were Separated Aged 5 Reunite And Get Married Years Later

If you’ve never believed in fate or soulmates, this touching story may persuade you otherwise. The budding connection of newlyweds Natalie Crowe Tatman and Austin Tatman sounds like something out of a dream.

They married in April, but their special affinity began when they were both five years old in pre-school.

Natalie had to move away from Ocala, Florida, where they were practically connected at the hip as children. She lost touch with her very best buddy, but he was never forgotten.

She decided to contact him on social media one day, and the two reconnected as teenagers.

They knew it was meant to be on their second date, and the rest is history!

Natalie and Austin wanted to replicate a charming shot from 1999, where they stood next to each other in Austin’s toy Jeep Wrangler, as a sweet touch for their wedding day.

It’s very cute!

Natalie told PEOPLE, “We basically became great friends by accident and our parents discovered it.”

“When you’re that age, you don’t normally hang around with people of the opposing gender.” But from the time we were two years old until we were five years old, we were always together.”

It became that they had more than just a deep relationship. What are the possibilities that they were both due on Valentine’s Day? Natalie, on the other hand, was born two weeks after her due date, whereas Austin was born two weeks early.

Despite their youth, Natalie and Austin left such an impression on each other that they still have loving recollections of each other after a decade.

“Every picture we have, even when we were in a group, we were together and everyone else was on the side,” Natalie explained.

“I just had recollections of always being with him, whether or not I recall the details of the memory, I knew we were always together.”

She was heartbroken when her parents divorced and she had to go to Connecticut. She didn’t know when she’d see her best friend again.

“My last memory of him was making Rice Krispy treats in his parents’ kitchen… and then we were separated,” Natalie explained.

Despite the fact that they had lost contact, he was always on her mind, and she asked her mother whether she believed he would remember her.

“I remember asking my mother about Austin when I was 8 or 10 and she would respond, ‘I’m sure if you remember him, he remembers you,'” she remembered.

“However, I had no way of contacting him at the moment.”

Then, on July 17, 2012, Natalie, who was 17 at the time, came across her mother’s old contact book and came across Austin’s name. It was destined to happen!

“I knew his last name began with a T, but I don’t know why — I still don’t know why — I chose his name out of all the others in the book.” “It was completely full,” she explained.

So, of course, she looked him up on Facebook and immediately recognized him as her childhood best buddy! They reminisced about former times after she sent him a note.

Austin lived just 10 minutes from her father in Florida, so they decided to meet on July 31, 2012, when she was next in the state.

“We’ve been together since that moment.” “It was like a friendship that had come back to life the second I saw him,” Natalie explained.

They realized their feelings were stronger than friendship on their second date.

“After our second date, we both realized we were in love with each other,” Natalie continued.

“On the first day of reunion, we restored our friendship, and then when we were alone, it was like, ‘Okay, whatever time that is, I’m going to marry you.'”

After a year of long-distance communication, they went to different institutions in Florida. Austin proposed to her just a year after graduation!

They married at New Smyrna Beach, Florida, at The Mulberry.

They wouldn’t have it any other way now, looking back.

They think that fate brought them together through a series of unexpected circumstances, and they can’t wait to spend the rest of their lives together.

“It was kind of strange how everything fell together so flawlessly,” Natalie said. “It still makes no sense to me.”
