Single Man Adopts 11-Year-Old Boy Who Was Abandoned At A Hospital By His Foster Parents

A father and son have been presenting their tale of how the kid, now 11, was abandoned by his foster parents at a hospital and then adopted by Peter Mutabazi, a single guy who adopted children after growing up in an oppressive environment in Africa.

Tony Mutabazi has been in a foster family since he was two years old, and he has never known who his biological parents are. He was adopted by an Oklahoma foster family when he was two years old, but when he was eleven, he was abandoned in a hospital, and his foster parents never returned.

According to Patrick, who appeared on Good Morning America,

“I [knew] I had to accept him after I learned the parents’ rights had been signed off and he had nowhere to go. I had the space and resources to let him leave, therefore there was no reason for me to let him go.”

Tony is described by Patrick as “the kindest, brightest child you’ve ever met.”

Peter described how he grew up in Uganda, Africa, and was subjected to horrific maltreatment from his family. He ran away from home at the age of ten and was adopted by a compassionate guardian. He described his personal adoption experience as follows:

“They took on the role of sponsor and family for me. I grew raised as one of the world’s poorest individuals. I grew up in an environment where no one told me I couldn’t dream or that I didn’t have a future.”

Patrick eventually made it to the United States and now works for an organization that helps some of the world’s poorest children. He stated, ”

“I wanted to do something for someone else because of what someone did for me.”

Tony is currently doing well in school and plans to continue his education in college and help people who are less fortunate. The following is a video of their story:
