Keanu Reeves and Girlfriend Alexandra Grant Hold Hands During Rare Red Carpet Appearance Together
The 2022 MOCA Gala was held at the Geffen Contemporary at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles on Saturday, and the Matrix Resurrections actor, 57, and his artist partner, 49, attended. Together, they went down the red carpet while holding hands and exchanging smiles.
In November 2019, the pair made their red carpet debut at the LACMA Art + Film Gala presented by Gucci in Los Angeles, revealing their relationship to the public.
Reeves and Grant have been friends for a long time and have even worked together on projects, including Reeves’ 2011 book Ode to Happiness and 2016’s Shadows, which Reeves also wrote and Grant illustrated.

Grant’s pal, the actress Jennifer Tilly, revealed to Page Six in February 2020 that the couple had been dating for far longer than the public was aware of. “I recall [Grant] telling me about a year and a half ago that Keanu Reeves was his boyfriend, and I was like, “Wait. What? Whoa, whoa,” At the time, Tilly, 63, stated.
In March 2020, Grant opened up to Vogue about her relationship with Reeves for the first time, discussing the attention she received after they made their relationship public.
She remarked at the time, “I think everyone I knew called me in the first week of November, and that’s fantastic.” But throughout it all, my main concern has been, “What is the chance for good?”
Grant said when asked if she could picture herself getting married in the future: “over a wine glass… I wish I could tell you. My identity is deeply rooted in love at all levels. What a way to avoid answering the question! I do not think that seclusion is the answer. As a painter, I go through a period of solitude, although I really enjoy the feeling of being in partnerships.”
Reeves discussed love on The Drew Barrymore Show in December after the host said, “I’m not a fighter, I’m a lover.” He answered, “No, you can’t because you have to be a fighter to be a lover. Because what sort of love do you have if you don’t fight for it?” Then Reeves stood up, grinning and making fun of Barrymore for making him “philosophical” about love.
