Mike Tyson, a former heavyweight boxing champion, is the most recent notable person to talk on Chris Rock’s infamous Oscars slap by Will Smith. Speaking about the event on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Tyson expressed amazement that Jada had been successful in getting Will to slap Chris Rock at the Oscars. Tyson admitted to Jimmy that he wasn’t very surprised by what happened. That was fascinating, Tyson said. I’m not sure if Smith felt it was necessary to do that, but if he’s not shocked, neither am I. Tyson makes the implication that Smith’s wife gave Jada the go-ahead to do it, and if so, he wouldn’t be shocked. He continued by saying that the entire affair appeared contrived.
WWE great Rick Flair was invited to appear on Mike Tyson’s podcast, “Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson.” I can speak for myself, and I’m quite confident I’m speaking for Mike, Flair stated in this episode.
If someone made a comment about my wife that I didn’t like for any reason at all, I would fight them, not slap them. You punch someone instead of slapping them when you’re angry. Tyson responds to Flair’s comments by implying that the entire situation was manufactured.
It is a phony if Ric says it is one. There would be multiple punches as well. It’s noteworthy to note that Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince sang the song I think I can defeat Mike Tyson in 1989 for a Will Smith music video. Will might have been singing it after hearing the former boxing champion’s opinions.
