Sisters Surprise Stepmom On Mother’s Day; Ask Her To Officially Adopt Them In Emotional Video
Julianna and Gabriella Ruvolo, sisters, released a video on TikTok on May 9 showing them giving their stepmother Becky a photo book for the big occasion.
This year’s Mother’s Day brought a life-changing surprise to a New Jersey woman when her husband’s twins begged her to adopt them. Julianna and Gabriella Ruvolo, sisters, released a video on TikTok on May 9 showing them giving their stepmother Becky a photo book for the big occasion.
The two girls next to her patiently wait for her to get to the page with the big surprise as she flips through the pages and reads them aloud. When Becky eventually gets to the last page and reads the suggested question, she breaks down in tears and tells the 20-year-old sisters, “Of course, I would!”
Pete, the twins’ father, captured the touching moment on film, which has since gone popular on social media. Becky later admitted to GMA that she had no idea the two girls were planned to pop the big question. “I was just taken aback when I heard that,” she recounted. “It was just pure shock and an honor, and the emotions of just like, ‘Is this really happening?'”
“We figured, like, what’s the greatest moment to ask the biggest thing we’ll probably ever ask?” Julianna said. “And why not make it on Mother’s Day? Ask our mom to formally be our mother on the day dedicated to her.” The twins have always had a nice connection with their stepmother.
Julianna and Gabriella were her first friends when they were both eight years old. And Becky didn’t take long to create an instant bond with the two girls. “I was concerned when I met the girls,” the mother admits, “but we hit it off.” “And it just kind of snowballed and spilled into our family from there.”
It was love at first sight for Gabriella. “We were already referring to her as her mother because it was so natural. We met as friends and then she became a mother, and it was love at first sight from the beginning “she revealed. “We always approached her as if she were a mother. She was always willing to help us “Julianna added.
The twins’ father, who married Becky in 2013, was overjoyed with his kids’ Mother’s Day surprise and thrilled with how everything worked out. Pete is even pleased because he was able to photograph the wonderful event. “Seeing things unfold gave me such a sense of pride, pride for my daughters and pride for my wife. I know how pleased that would make her, and it was truly a memorable occasion “According to PEOPLE, he stated. “Whether blended or not, it is possible to build a true family. You can have this kind of love as well.”
