‘It Just Gives Me Hope’: Mom Is Blown Away After Stranger Buys Air Jordans For Son With Autism

A stranger made a Chicago mom and her autistic son’s day when he bought the boy a pair of expensive Air Jordans.

Theresa Hunt was out shopping with 16-year-old Xavier at Brickyard Mall for his birthday, and the youngster wanted his mom to get him Air Jordans, but she couldn’t afford them.

That’s when a stranger came by and surprised them with his act of generosity. Hunt expressed her regret at not being able to provide her son with the Jordans he so desperately desired, but offered to bring him different sneakers instead.

At the checkout counter, the mother and son were praising Xavier’s school performance and how well he was doing when a stranger in line before of them overheard their talk and bought the boy the identical pair of Air Jordans he had desired.

Imagine the delight and happiness that stranger brought to this mother and son at that very moment; it was a feeling they will never forget.

Before he could leave, Hunt claimed the man paid for the shoes and handed them to Xavier, wishing him luck in school. “I’m always blessing others, but it’s nice to get a blessing like that out of nowhere.” “It really instills optimism in me,” Hunt remarked.

The man went so fast that the mother and son were unable to obtain his name, but they are grateful for his kindness to Xavier.

Acts of compassion like this remind us of the power of kindness in a world that is becoming increasingly selfish and hate-filled. Every day, let us be the hands and feet of Jesus, doing things that our Lord would be proud of.
