Woman Asks Twitter To Find Her A Date For A Wedding – 2 Years Later, The Man Who Replied Does This

One woman got engaged to the man who reacted to her tweet after a few direct chats and two years.

Madison O’Neill used Twitter to look for a substitute after a split left her without a wedding date. She had no idea that she would be engaged to the man who volunteered to be her plus one two years later.

She went on Twitter and asked if anyone wanted to be her date to a wedding the next day, not expecting anyone to respond.

DM love at first sight

Madison’s high school friend Charlie Dohrmann viewed this as an opportunity.

“In high school, he thought I was cute but never had the nerve to talk to me, but he saw that tweet as a chance and thought, ‘Hey, why not?'” she explained.

Madison received a direct message from Charlie asking to be her plus one, and despite her reservations, she decided to give him a chance.

From admirers to devotees

The date was not at all uncomfortable; they both had a great time. The two began dating seriously soon after the wedding.

Charlie proposed to Madison in San Diego, where he was stationed while serving in the Navy, two and a half years later.

“At first, I thought he was joking, and then I freaked out when I realized he wasn’t,” she explained. “I had no idea it was going to happen.”

We’ve come full circle.

Madison chose to tell her tale on Twitter, which is where she and Charlie met for the first time. Users raved at Charlie’s courage and the couple’s meet-cute when she tweeted about how she and Charlie met.

“It’s incredible to see so many people wishing us success and complimenting us on our lovely narrative,” Madison added. “It’s absolutely adding to the excitement of the whole thing.”

Taking aim at his target

Because of Charlie’s willingness to put himself on the line and reply to Madison’s tweet, what began as a desperate appeal for a date ended in marriage.

He had the bravery to go for what he wanted, and now Madison not only has a ring on her finger and a popular social media image, but she also has a prospective wedding date.
