Rescue Dog Keeps Paw On New Owner At All Times To Make Sure He Won’t Be Left Again

A little amount of love can go a long way, and it’s sometimes all it takes to transform a shy, terrified puppy into an affectionate, trusting companion. Sam Clarence adopted Stanley from a bully breed rescue in Christchurch, New Zealand, as an illustration of this. The puppy was discovered as a stray when he was barely six months old, living with his sister and mother on an abandoned property.

Clarence, who works as a dog walker at a local shelter, was asked to foster one of the puppies for a while. Little did he realize, this little creature would grow to be his most devoted companion. Clarence fell in love at first sight, but Stanley was not so lucky. The dog was afraid, and simply getting out of the car took him an hour.

Clarence stayed with him the entire time, assisting him in adjusting to his new situation and living quarters. He had earned his trust to the point where the two of them were not touching.

Stanley would always have at least one paw touching Clarence’s back while he laid behind him. When they go on road excursions, the dog makes careful to keep one paw on him at all times. If Clarence moves, so does Stanley. Stanley is an extremely affectionate dog that exhibits it all of the time.

Stanley is no longer afraid or shy. He adores Clarence and is ecstatic with his new life and the affection he is receiving. From a fearful, timid puppy, this dog has grown into a sociable, extroverted “Velcro dog.” He adores everyone, including other dogs.
