Man Who Spent Months At Roadside Asking For Help Thanks Locals With Sign: “I Start Work On Monday”

The finest individuals are those who never forget what others did for them when they were going through a difficult moment. Kevin, a guy who used to spend his days on a West Seneca, New York corner, begging strangers and passersby for money, is one such remarkable individual.

His sign, which stated that he was a combat veteran who was drug-free, alcohol-free, and seeking for work, was just replaced, and it warmed the hearts of many people. “Thank you everyone who has helped,” read a fresh sign up near where Kevin had been staying for the last few months. Monday is my first day at work.”

Jesse Dixon, a local neighbor who frequently stopped to assist Kevin, talked to WKBW-TV and characterized him as a really pleasant person.

“It appeared like he’d struck a difficult period of bad luck, so we were simply trying to assist him get through it.” It was rare if I didn’t see him for two or three days at a period. “Like I mentioned, I see him at least a couple of times a week,” she explained.

Those who were willing to lend a hand to Kevin appreciated the sign and the pleasant message.

Megan Bingham, co-chair of the annual local Project Homeless Connect event, called Kevin’s deed as “heartwarming.”

Jesse expressed her delight for Kevin. She told WKBW-TV that “here’s a man who is so glad to have found a job that he placed a sign for anybody who has helped him over the previous, you know, however many months.” “I mean, I get chills just thinking about it.”

The story went viral in the blink of an eye after being picked up by local news channel 7 Eyewitness News and published on their Facebook page. A large number of individuals took the time to leave feedback.

“Our family has helped him out on many occasions,” one individual commented. He was always very appreciative of whatever we offered him. “Congratulations,” one person said, while another added, “I’m very delighted!” I’ve stopped a couple of times to offer him food and gift cards. He is a very outstanding and generous individual. “I’m overjoyed to hear this.”
